Understanding the New DHS Final Rule: End Duration of Status for F and J Students and Scholars
Friday, August 28, 2026 at 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM
Central Daylight Time UTC -05:00
This informational session will provide an overview of the new Department of Homeland Security (DHS) final rule and discuss the changes to the Duration of Status framework. We will review key provisions, what the changes may mean for international students and scholars, and how the Office of International Services and campus-wide resources can best support our students in understanding and navigating these changes. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and discuss concerns related to the new rule.
