We’re excited to welcome your group to campus — whether it’s a first look or a final decision. Every visit pairs an informational presentation with a guided walking tour, helping your students picture their place in the Bear community. Use this page to find an available date and reserve your spot.

What's included in your visit
Every group visit is built around two core experiences, with optional add-ons to make the most of your day on campus.
Learn about Missouri State, then see campus for yourself
Your students will begin with an overview of Missouri State, including academic programs, costs, scholarships, traditions, student life and things to do in Springfield. Then, they'll take a campus tour to experience it firsthand.
Informational presentation
Academics, cost, scholarships, traditions, and student life — with time for your students' questions.
One-hour walking tour
See residence halls, dining, academic buildings, and the campus landmarks students will come to know.
Lunch on campus (optional)
Buffet-style dining at a discounted, tax-exempt rate of $6.50 per person, 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m. Learn more.
Group visit questions, answered
Group visits are for students in grades 9–12 and are offered on select dates throughout the academic year. Bringing younger students? We also offer an age-appropriate campus tour and shortened presentation just for them.
Two weeks advance notice helps us create a great visit for your group. If planning ahead isn't possible this time, we hope to welcome you on a future visit.
To help the day run smoothly, groups must maintain a 15:1 student-to-chaperone ratio.
Students in grades 9–12 will enjoy an informational presentation covering academics, costs, scholarships, traditions, student life, Springfield, and more — followed by a one-hour campus walking tour.
Absolutely. Non-campus visiting groups may receive a tax-exempt rate of $6.50 per person. To arrange lunch, contact Jeanne Henderson at 417-836-3057 or JeanneHenderson@MissouriState.edu. Lunch is best scheduled from 11:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m. at one of two buffet-style, all-you-can-eat dining centers. They accept credit cards, debit cards, cashier's check or banker's checks only - no cash. Bring your tax-exempt certificate to receive the discounted rate. Campus departments using a budget number pay the regular rate.
For summer programs, please contact the Office for Summer Camps and Conferences and complete your event registration. For academic-year stays, email Residence Life and Services at ResidenceLife@MissouriState.edu to ask about availability and pricing.
The Office of Admissions cannot arrange individual appointments, faculty presentations, or specific academic lab tours as part of a group visit. Please contact the department directly to make those arrangements.
